After more than two years in the planning Ashleigh & Zak smashed it! They married in an early morning ceremony at The Hallmark Hotel in central Derby. Even though it was the morning of the Derby 10K & pretty much all the roads of central Derby were closed, everyone made it in time to witness the I do!! (Grandad only just)…
Weddings where the children are involved & given a part to play in the day, are so brilliant to photograph. Scattering petals & ring bearing are major responsibilities when you are 1 & 2!!
After a special ceremony where Ashleigh’s Mum & Zak’s brother gave beautiful readings, the guests filtered out in to the gardens for bucks fizz & confetti! After catching up with everyone for congratulations & a couple of group shots. Guests were asked to make their way to their seats for the meal so Ashleigh, Zak & I took a walk & found some interesting walls for their shots & some alone time! On finding out Zak’s Dad is a postman I couldn’t resist taking a few outside the Derby depo. By the time we arrived back the gardens were empty so we weren’t overlooked for a few more quiet shots. Food & speeches followed. Then later in the afternoon we popped across to Darley park for more couples shots, the couple were congratulated by many passers by & we did manage to find a few quiet spots out of the way!
Ashleigh & Zak, thank you so much for sharing your day with me! It was an honour! Enjoy
