FAQ’s

How long have you been a photographer? – I graduated from Art School with a degree in photography 14 years ago & have been working in the photographic industry ever since, as a photographic assistant, picture editor & photographer. I became a full time Wedding photographer 5 years ago after the arrival of my second little boy.

Do we get everything you shoot? – No I take thousands of images on a Wedding day. I select & edit (in the style you see on the website) the best shots to create your story. A timeless record of your day. You can expect to receive 400+ images. It all depends on what actually happens on your day.

Do you have a second shooter? – Everything you see on the website & blog has been shot by myself without a second shooter. I do feel that having two photographers around can sometimes feel a bit full on for your guests. Also timings do often work so I’m able to shoot both bride & groom prep… I can’t be in two places at exactly the same time so a second shooter is an option I can provide if necessary. This may come in handy for particularly large Weddings. (over 150 guests).

When can I expect to see the photos? – Wedding season (May-Sept) can be manic & I must ensure everyone gets the same quality of service & processing. I will always let you know of any changes to time scales but I aim to dispatch your images 6-8 weeks after the Wedding.

Do you retouch the images? – Yes each image is processed in my own editing style, colour corrected etc. I spend more time editing the images than actually shooting the Wedding so each image provided to you is the best quality it can be.

Who owns the copyright? – The copyright of the images remains with me your photographer. I provide clients with the licence to print & share images with friends & family. So you can load them onto Facebook, print them yourself etc. The only thing you cannot do is sell them commercially.

Can I print them myself? – Yes please do, prints look amazing! I recommend photobox for prints (just un tick auto image enhancement…) You are also able to purchase prints from your password protected gallery.

Are you insured? –  Yes!! I am fully insured for public & professional indemnity. I have a wide range of kit for every eventuality, including back ups, high quality memory cards etc. I also have a tried & tested system to back up all your images safely.

Do you travel? – Yes! I’m very happy to travel all over the UK (& beyond) to cover your day. Travel within a 45 mile radius of Derby or Warwick is included in my package price. Weddings further afield may incur small additional fee for overnight accommodation – contact me to check & for elopement & destination Wedding quotes.

Do you require a meal at the Wedding? – I’d really appreciate something to keep me going! A Wedding is non stop. I don’t have to eat the same menu as you, anything the venue can provide that won’t break your budget would be great.

Do you do engagement shoots? – Yes! they are a great way to help you both feel more comfortable in front of the camera prior to the big day. See my gallery for what to expect.

Can we meet you? – Yes depending on where you are located I will travel to you, or meet at a mutually convenient café/pub, face time or Skype!

How to book? – Yey you’d like to book! A £200 deposit is required (payable by BACS or cheque) along with a signed contract (online) to secure your date.
