Hold on to your hats! This Wedding is EPIC! Planned in only four months… it really was a little bit special! Frances parents were married in the same village church, by the same vicar!!
Will proposed in February & the Wedding was held in July just before the couple were due to emigrate. With so much to organise for their move & both having incredibly busy jobs, family & friends rallied round to help make the day perfect. Each taking on different aspects of the organisation & reporting their findings back to the couple who are so obviously hugely loved & very highly thought of buy all who know them…
The marquee was set in the grounds of Frances’ childhood, family home. Where she & her bridesmaids were also to get ready. Frances’ Dad went on a bit of gardening frenzy, re-levelled & reseeded the lawn & totally revamped the rest of the garden & grounds ready for the big day. Planting all the boarders & pots with colour coordinated plants/flowers to fit the soft lilac colour theme… he was still mowing as I arrived!!
Everyone involved put the same 110% effort into making every detail faultless & there were so many details! Will’s Gran’s homemade marmalade favours, handmade candle holders, hand written signs, bunting, photographs strung from the willow trees. The amazing cut flowers throughout the garden & marquee were sourced & arranged by Frances’ mum & bridesmaids. The marquee itself was decorated completely by family & friends.
The invitations, order of service, menu’s, table names etc. were designed & produced by Sarah, Frances’ talented friend & bridesmaid! To fit a travel & geography inspired theme. She also found, vetted & made initial contact with me….! Thank you so much Sarah!!
The Wedding car – the brilliant MG belongs to Will’s uncle (I’m not sure even his own son had been allowed to drive it)..!!
Frances brother handled his master of ceremonies duties like a pro… (big thanks Oliver for helping me out on the day). He also drove the vintage tractor on which they made their sparkler exit on to a surprise honeymoon organised by Will. (you guys)!!
A brilliant live band & bar / beer selection made the party!! There was dancing… LOTS of dancing!!
I was invited to sit with guests & so got to sample the beautiful food. Thank you!! The whole day really was inspiration & an absolute pleasure to photograph. It was a true honour to be a small part of such a loving, emotional, family & love filled day. Thank you so much for trusting me with your memories. I will always remember this day. This is what Weddings are all about!! Here is Frances & Will xx
