Leicestershire Countryside Family Farm Wedding – Lindsey & Ed

“Thanks soooo much, we love them! They are wonderful!”

Lindsey & Ed’s beautiful, relaxed, countryside Wedding was held in early August 2017 at St Luke’s Church, in the tiny village where Ed grew up. Hickling (near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire). Their marquee reception a trailer ride up the lane on the pregnant field of the family dairy farm.

Amazing themes for this one, a cricket match, a traffic stopping, massive hay bale sculpture of the the bride & groom. A Cake topper with the same brilliant likeness by the same guest. Dusky pink tones, a flower crown, personalised wellies (a hen do activity), soft bouquets of lithiansus, cowslips and roses by Pat the florist from the village. A Monsoon Wedding dress, veil and shoes. MAC make up. Fireworks, kids picnic bags, the scarecrows Wedding book for each child guest. Miles and miles of pastel bunting.

This was real family Wedding, where everyone joined in to help. I met Lindsey and Ed shooting his sisters Wedding the previous December, where Lindsey was bridesmaid. It is always so lovely to be recommended by and catch up with past bride and grooms and their families. Doing this job you step into lives and get to know people so quickly at such a happy time. It is strange not to then see them again. I feel very lucky to have been able to shoot two such lovely Wedding days of the same family.

As well as a cricket match and fireworks the post ceremony entertainment came in the form of Ha’pe Acoustic Duo. The evening band was The Soul Outlaws.

The Dimblebee Catering Co. supplied hampers for the Wedding breakfast as well as an epic BBQ later.  All on a gloriously sunny day. This is a lovely Wedding. Enjoy.
