Laura & Phil met at school, but went their own separate ways, only to meet up again after Uni…. the rest is history!!
I met Laura, well initially her sister, at a Wedding Fair, she came over to my stand, said you are the one, you will “get” what they are trying to do!…
The ceremony was held at the Mansfield Road Baptist Church on Gregory Boulevard, Nottingham. A Church with big family connections for Phil, his parents were also married there & his Mum is still the verger today. After a beautiful & emotional ceremony the bridal party walked across to the park for a few green space shots. Which we’d checked out on our pre Wedding Shoot!
The reception was held at the New Art Exchange, a beautifully modern art gallery a little way up the road, what a stunning space! AND it had the most amazing lift… It was their first Wedding, everything was amazingly organised & the staff were brilliant & so excited to be holding a Wedding, nothing was too much trouble, everything ran so smoothly & I was very well looked after too! Food was pie & mash & naked wedding cake! YUM!!
Both families spent the day before the Wedding at the gallery space, up to their knees in paper lanterns & butterflies & ontop of ladders decorating the blank canvas. The Wedding was a real group effort & exactly how they all imagined it to be! So cool!
Photographing Weddings you can learn a lot about about families in a very short space of time, Laura & Phil’s families & friends welcomed me in, their day was so very personal to them, I left feeling like a good friend. Thank you so much for having me!! It was amazing xx
