Jenny – WE LOVE THEM!!
A day of love, smiles, amazing friends, great food & stunning surroundings!
When I heard where these guys were getting married I was excited. Even more so after popping up for a recce of the stunning grounds. Breadsall Priory is truly beautiful. But it’s not all about the venue, Weddings for me are all about the people. I was recommended to Courtenay & Mark by the ever lovely Stacey & Andy whose Wedding I photographed last October at Dovecliff Hall – thanks guys, I really appreciate it!
So my first meeting with Courtenay & Mark could possibly have gone better… we’d arranged to meet at Elvaston Castle Country Park back in January. On top of the fact it was chilly & much more muddy than expected…(Courtenay was wearing the most stunning pair of boots – I felt terrible). I had also inadvertently taken Mark back to the scene of a painful childhood school trip allergic reaction disaster… oops sorry Mark.. luckily he wasn’t too traumatised & we got some great shots that were used as part of the table plan on the day.
I met Courtenay & her maids in their room for some getting ready shots. A favourite part of any Wedding day for me, these girls are very, very close & have been friends for a long time, so it was particularly special for me to be able to be there. The long walk from the room to the ceremony compounded the importance of what was about to take place, emotional!
A big big thank you also goes out to James, the Wedding Coordinator on the day. An absolute outstanding gent. Without his golf buggy chauffeur skills we would not have gotten half of these shots. He made the day flow without a hitch & added special touches really going above & beyond! 100 times thank you James!
Another highlight was the amazing food! I was so lucky to be given the most stunning 4 course meal, the same as the guests, it was beautiful, thank you very much. Everyone must go here to eat, whether you are getting married or not!!
Enough of my rambling…. here’s a few of my favourites from the day!
