This was my first trip to Shottle Hall for a very stylish Christmas Wedding. There may or may not have been a reindeer incident…… Thank you Kaysha & Craig your day was totally beautiful! & thank you Stacey & Andy for recommending me.
They say the family you have are the friends you surround yourself with & Wedding’s for me are all about family. It’s one rare day that people feel able to express their true feelings & gratitude for having each other. I try my best to catch these meaningful moments, looks & gestures. I hope you’ll agree there are some magical ones at this Wedding. You are all so very close. It was my pleasure to be there to capture them.
The Hall really felt like home with so many childhood photos (& prints of our pre Wedding shoot ?) dotted about, interspersed with other personal touches. Hand baked, heart shaped cookies. Inside garden games. The beautiful flowers from Kaysha’s Mum which worked so well with the soft pink bridesmaids dresses. Gorgeous gold accents & lighting ensured a festive feel without screaming over the top CHRISTMASSS! Check out the cake too. I LOVED the cake. So immaculately decorated!! All tied in with the STUNNING, subtly golden dress. Kaysha you looked perfect.
Shottle Hall’s large windows allow for amazing light throughout the venue. Particularly the ceremony room, bridal suite & bedrooms, creating perfect atmospheric getting ready shots. Helen Sutcliffe hair & (I need to find the name of the lovely make up lady)….. worked their magic making the morning calm & fun!
There was a beautiful moment as Kaysha reached the top of the aisle & Craig hugged her. The look of pure joy & pride on her Mum’s face, I may have teared up… The emotional ceremony ended with a lovely reading from Craig’s Mum’s welcoming family.
A note to couples planning your Wedding – hand out confetti to your guests as Kaysha & Craig did, it makes for the most amazing series of shots!! We were so surprised at how unseasonably warm the day was, we decided to shoot all the family & group shots outside too. The boys were itching to get together for a groomsmen photo all day. I hope they’re chuffed with the library shot. (I love doing these). The bestman’s speech was a projector triumph & oh yes he went there with that tattoo photo. After the speeches I was excited to make use of my new winter OCF kit for more couples shots. I’m so glad & grateful that you were happy to walk down a muddy path in the dark…..! & that it still wasn’t overly cold!
The dance floor action was immense. I love that I managed to get a shot of Craig’s Dad looking so happy. (He HATED the group shot action earlier in the day)!
Kaysha & Craig I’ll be round for a kebab soon!! These are my fav’s from your day, enjoy!
