The Pumping House, Ollerton is a super cool, beautifully restored Victorian industrial building, a water pumping station. Such an unusual and striking Wedding venue. I’m always excited when an enquiry comes in for here. Set on the edge of Sherwood Forest, outside Ollerton, Nottinghamshire. With gorgeous and stylishly decorated accomodation onsite, it is great for your whole Wedding party (and getting ready photos). There are so many different and unique areas within the venue. Lucy and Craig married in April with bluebells and crazy golf in the gardens. Lucy’s gorgeous Pronovias figure hugging gown had the most incredible back detail. Jimmy Choo shoes, Chanel earrings and Van Cleef and Arples perfume completed her Wedding day dream combo. The boys hired stylish blue suits from Peter Posh. Stunning contemporary styling by Save The Date Event Stylist based at the venue. Neon personalised signage. Lindor hearts. Soft table settings. Make you own cocktail table. Brilliant speeches. A live band. Photobooth. Giving your guests lots of entertaninment and things to do makes a great atmosphere and great photos. The Pumping House has so many areas and opportunites for photographs inside and outside whatever the weather. I love the red brick, the chimney, the huge arched windows and interior tiling.

Martin Parr is a huge inspiration of mine. I love catching juxtaposed, narrative shots that show background, depth and comedy. This wedding has a few corkers. The bright sunshine and colours help add a Parr-esqe feel too.
