Oh Jenny we’re speechless!! They are out of this world! You have captured every moment just perfectly & so intimately!
Liz & Ash married in central Derby at the huge St. Marys church. With the reception venue just up the road, The Westmill, Darley Abbey Mills. I was totally blown away by this venue, it is so cool! Every little detail has been so carefully thought about & well executed. It was an absolute joy to shoot at & it lent itself particularly well to this winter Wedding. There are just so many perfect backdrops inside!! Thanks to Mirlah for looking after us & to Rich, Liz & Ash’s very organised master of ceremonies!
Liz, Ash & their little girl Ava clearly mean a lot to a lot of people. So it was extra special to be there to capture their celebration. Poor Ava had chicken pox in the run up to the Wedding too! But on the day she totally stole the show!
The day began with bright sun followed by wind, rain & more wind…. It was great to be able to pop down to the Silkmill Pub (another Derby institution) to meet Ash & the groomsmen for his pre ceremony drinks. As well as being at the house with Liz & the girls for their chilled morning! A beautiful, emotional ceremony was made even more memorable when Kate fell off the lectern… It was so windy arriving at The Westmill that EVERYONE got confetti’d! The best men nailed their speeches, Tristan with a childhood photo slideshow & Martin with his gifts & symbolic pot noodle, where it all began. The ace live band The Burgundys gave out free high fives all night! It was epic!
Liz & Ash I’m so glad you found me. Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your day!
So here we go, grab a cuppa… This is Liz, Ash & Ava’s story.
